
EQUIPMENT OFFICER
The Duties listed below allow for personal creativity and may vary from
Centre to Centre
The Equipment Officer shall be responsible for:
- Annual Stock-take of
the assets/equipment for insurance purposes. Copy to SALAA. To be done
around beginning of September.
- Ensuring the field is
adequately marked for each Centre Meet.
- Monitoring the
condition of the grounds, the approaches and surrounds of the long/triple
jump pits and shot and discus areas and arrange for maintenance when
necessary.
- Maintaining the marking
equipment.
- Liaising with School/
Council re. use of grounds, where applicable.
- Liaising with School
re: maintenance of grounds, where applicable.
- Conducting a regular
stock take of all Centre equipment and accounting for any equipment on loan.
- Maintaining the
equipment in safe and good working order. This may entail organising a
working bee from time to time or charging of batteries.
- Purchasing any
authorised equipment.
- Allowing access to the
equipment for any use authorized by the Committee.
- Contacting the
Association regarding changes to technical and ground requirements.
- Liaising with School/
Council re: Sharing of equipment where applicable
- Maintaining cleanliness
of shed and surrounds. Including start of season washout of shed.
- Ensuring that equipment
is packed away after meets and special events.
