Position Description >> Officials Coordinator
OFFICIALS COORDINATOR
The Officials Coordinator shall be responsible for:
- Establishing the requirements for staffing the various Track and
Field Officials positions necessary to safely conduct the Centre running
days.
- Ensure that the beginning of each Season, and up--dated list of
Centre Officials, their grade and their annual fees, are to be sent
to the Officials Club.
- Recruiting or rostering Officials for each Centre/Club Meeting.
- Ensuring the appropriate number of Officials are present at the
various events in order to safely conduct the Centre/Club Meetings
- Distributing " Instructions for Officials" Cards to the
appropriate person at each event and ensure the person is familiar with
the rule and conduct. The cards are for guidance only and should be
used in conjunction with Officials Handbooks
- Arranging adequate education of Officials by way of Officials Course
conducted with by the Officials Club or experienced Centre/Club Personnel
NB. The Secretary of the Officials Club must be advised of dates and
venue of an Officials Course before it commences.
Ensuring an adequate number of Centre/Club Members attend and officiate
at Association Events.
