Coaching Courses
Anyone over 15 years who is interested in learning about Little Athletics
and possibly wanting to coach a group of young athletes is invited to

Our club desperately needs more coaches so that we can begin to implement
a training program for our athletes.

gain a basic understanding of Coaching Little Athletics.

Any Little Athletics Centre can run an Introductory Course as long as
the Coach lecturing is qualified to the minimum standard of AT&FCA
"Orientation to Coaching".
If a Centre wants to run an Introductory Course and has no qualified
Coaches then they should contact the SALAA Coaches Club Coaching Co-ordinator
to arrange for a Qualified Coach.
NB The Coaches Club Secretary should be notified before the Centres run
any courses. This allows the Coaches Club to register the Course, organise
booklets and check to see if the Coach is qualified.
ORIENTATION TO COACHING COURSES

and other interested people who have little or no experience of Track
and Field Athletics. The 8 hour course covers all event groups on the
track and Field Program. The course is designed for beginner coaches who
coach young athletes within the 5 to 15 year age range, providing training
for them to coach under the guidance of an accredited coach

of basic technical models for young and novice athletes.
