State Multi Event Championships
What is it
The Multi Event Championship is a championship event where athletes compete in
five events over the day. Athletes accrue points based on their performances in
the individual events, with medals presented to the three highest point scorers
in each age group.
Who is it for
The Multi Event championships are open to all athletes from the Under 9 to Under 17 age groups.
There are no qualifying standards for this event.
When
Sunday 22nd February, 2009 from 9:00am
Entries Close 29th January 2009 (at 3.00pm). You must be registered by 9th January to compete.

Parent Responsibilities
We will be allocated duties based on the number of athletes we enter in the
championships. Parent s will be expected to assist for 1 to 2 hours during the
day. Parents must nominate which events they wish to participate in on the entry
form.
How it works
Athletes compete in a fixed program of 5 events - A throw (either shot put, discus or javelin),
a jumping event (long or high), a 100m sprint, hurdles, and an 800m run.
Points are scored based on performances in individual events, not on placing's
in the events.
All athletes will receive a performance certificate showing their individual
results and their points score. The top three point scorers in each age group
will receive medals.
