The HCLAC offers coaching for registered members, in addition to the club meets on Friday evenings. The purpose of these coaching sessions will be compatible with the theme of Little Athletics, "Family Fun & fitness" and encompass:
The coaching sessions will challenge the athlete but the intention is not to engage in very vigorous 'workouts'. Extreme physical activity is unproductive and potentially harmful for young athletes. Coaching sessions are held on Monday and Thursday evenings, from 5pm to approximately 6pm. Sessions are free of charge. The coaching sessions will include:
Our coaching program is run by our Head Coach, Jon Hall. Jon is a Level 2 graded
Australian Track and Field Coach (ATAFC) in throws. We also have a number of Level 1 ATAFC graded coaches who will be assisting with the coaching nights.
Specific training will take precedence according to the Season Planner (for example, State Relay Championship, Multi-event Championships, and State Individual Championships). For further advice please contact, Jon Hall, Coaching coordinator at the HCLAC. FAQ
