Little Athletics has something for everyone. It is a family based activity the whole of Australia can enjoy. It is unique and offers the whole family something to really enjoy participation.
Bring your friends or use the ones who are already waiting to welcome you to our Centre.

Who can join?

Little Athletics if for junior athletes of all abilities from 3 to 17 years of age (as at the 1st October each year).

When is it on?

Little Athletics is a summer sport and is run over the warmer months, generally from September to March/April.

Over winter, we offer Cross Country running for those keen to keep up their fitness.

How do I join?

Little Athletics is open to Children of all abilities from 3yrs to 17yrs

Come along to our meets on Friday evening over Summer Starting in October each year.

Come n try for 1 or 2 meets is just $5.00 per athlete/per meet ( covers insurance &this comes off the registration fees if you join the centre) fees

How much does it cost?

What will I learn?

  • Our Centre has coaches to help you improve and learn about athletics.
  • Learning is fun and in no time you will see your "personal best" performances improve.
  • Run, jump & throw have fun and be healthy at the same time

What does My Mum and Dad have to do?

  • Apart from making sure you get safely to Little Athletics, your Mum and Dad will make great helpers and officials and measurers and rakers, and will be the most enthusiastic supporters to help you BE YOUR BEST!
  • At Hallett Cove we are proud of our family participation, children must be signed in and parents / care givers are required to help in the running of events in some way.
  • We will provide information and training for you to and your children to get the most out of athletics

What are the benefits?

  • If you are fit it makes you feel good about yourself and you have the energy to do anything. Young people who take an interest in sport are more likely to stay fit for life.
