First AidAlthough we endeavour to make little athletics as safe as possible, accidents and injuries can still happen. If you or your child are injured, please see one of the First Aid Officers for assistance.First Aid assistance is available at the canteen. All injuries must be reported to the First Aid Officer. SmokingIn following with SA Little Athletics and Department of Education smoking policy, NO SMOKING is permitted ANYWHERE on the SCHOOL GROUNDS. No DogsPlease note that it is an offence under the Dog and Cat Management Act, 1995, for dogs to be on school property (even on a leash). Penalty $750 fine. Please leave your dogs at home or with a friend. InsuranceAll registered athletes and parents are covered by the association insurance policy when taking part in events organised by Hallett Cove Little Athletics of the SA Little Athletics Association. Full details are available from the centre secretary. FeesEach athlete is registered with the SA Little Athletics Association (SALAA). This covers administration, stationery and insurance for athletes competing at all Little Athletics events. As a centre we also charge a fee to cover costs for maintaining equipment, line marking and facilities costs. SALAA fees are approximately 50% of the total registration fee. SALAA has increased it's membership fees for athletes this season, the first increase for 6 years. Our centre has not increased it's portion of the fees, but is passing on the increase from SALAA.
Registration fees are NON REFUNDABLE. That is why we recommend attending a Come and Try session before signing up for the full season. Please note that the season lasts until April of next year and these fees continue to represent very good value for money. School Fence and GatesThe school is fully fenced to prevent vandalism. We are responsible for locking the gates when we leave. We would prefer that you use the Sandison Road entrance and park in the car park nearest the shed if possible. This means we only need to open and lock one set of gates at the end of the night. ParkingIf the Sandison Road carpark is full, you can enter off of Gledsdale Road and drive round behind the Gym to park on the asphalt area next to the oval. If the Gledsdale Road gates are locked, send someone to the Canteen and we will unlock them for you. Need to Know More?If there is something that is not covered in this booklet, or if there is something that you think needs to be addressed, please bring it to the attention of any to the attention of any committee member.
