All athletes competing in Little Athletics events are required to wear
the correct centre uniform. At SALAA competitions, athletes who are not
in the correct uniform will not be able to compete.
The competition uniform is:
Top
- All athletes are required to wear the centre t-shirt when competing.
- The t-shirt must have the registration number
and age group tag correctly attached (see diagram below).
- All sponsors logos must be visible. No track-suit badges may be
attached to the t-shirt.
- The IGA sponsor badge goes on the right hand sleve.

Note Regarding New T-Shirt design -
In 2007-08 a new design of top was introduced. It is not
mandatory to have a shirt of this design till the 2009-10 season. The old
style tops can still be worn until the end of this season.
Shorts
- Athletes must wear plain black shorts, sports briefs or 'two way
stretch above the knee' bike shorts.
- There cannot be any logos on the shorts, and all shorts must be
'above the knee' in length.
- 'Skins' type shorts and tops are NOT PERMITTED.
Shoes and Socks
- All athletes must wear appropriate shoes when competing.
- A good running style shoe is recommended.
- Athletes must wear white socks.
- Athletes in the Under 12 to Under 17 age groups may wear spiked
running shoes in laned running events, the javelin, long, triple and
high jumps.
- Spikes must be needle spikes and no longer than 7mm.

Tracksuit
We recommend that all athletes have a tracksuit they can put on between
events as the Hallett Cove oval can get quite cold on a Friday night!
